Who is Non Resident Person?:
                                                  A 'Non-resident Indian' (NRI) is a person resident outside India who is a citizen of India. An NRI is classified as an individual who has gone out of India, or who stays outside India for employment or for carrying on business or any vocation for 182 days or more or under circumstances indicating an intention for an unknown duration of stay abroad is a Non-Resident Indian (NRI).

                                                   An NRI is a person who is an Indian citizen but resides outside India for a certain period. The Income Tax Act 1961 explains an NRI as a person who satisfies any of the following conditions: He/she is in India for less than 182 days in a financial year (from April 1 to March 31).

Non Resident Indian as a Business firms:

                                                    A non-residential Indian is a person who stays in India for less than 182 days during the period of the foreseeing financial year. An NRI can also be a person who has gone out of the nation for employment is called an NRI. A person staying abroad for business-related purposes is also called an NRI.
                               
India is considered as a preferred destination to start business by Foreigners and NRIs due its liberal and progressive FDI policy. Any non-resident can incorporate company in India in form of Private Limited Company, Public Limited Company or Limited Liability Partnership (LLP).
